Job Responsibilities
As a housing pedagog, you will support and guide users in maintaining or developing their ability for independence and participation. Within housing support, we provide services to users based on decisions according to SoL in ordinary/private housing. Together with the user, we work to develop structure and skills and create strategies for the user to meet and handle situations in or outside their own home.
The work involves:
- Independence and personal responsibility as the work is mainly solitary in the user's home.
- Good ability to make your own decisions in the moment and take responsibility for them.
- Being attentive/listening in order to catch early signs of ill health.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education covering at least 60 higher education credits or 200 YH credits. The education should have a clear focus on the area of disabilities, autism, and/or behavioral sciences.
Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is an advantage. You should have knowledge of low-arousal approaches, clear pedagogical methods, and a solution-focused attitude.
Since the work largely involves solitary work in the user's home, you need to be confident in your professional role and able to make quick decisions on your own. You also need to be flexible and easily adapt to users with varying needs, which can change from day to day. Of course, you have great patience and focus on each user and the whole around them.
As housing pedagogues travel between users' apartments by bike or car, it is required that you can cycle and have a driver's license.
Part of the job is to document and create implementation plans together with users based on orders. Therefore, you should have good computer skills and be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Great emphasis is placed on communication and collaboration skills both towards users, colleagues, and partners.
The working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, mainly during the day but with occasional evenings until 8:00 PM.
